The event wil be held on Sunday May 5, 7 - 8: 30 p.m. at Temple Beth El (TBE), 402 N Tioga St, Ithaca. The speaker at this year's Holocaust Commemoration is Ralph Berger, an adjunct lecturer at Cornell’s School of Industrial and Labor Relations, whose parents were fighters in the Bielski Brigade - partisans who fought back against the Nazis in Poland. Ralph and his late brother Albert, co-edited a book about their parents’ experiences, With Courage Shall We Fight: The Memoirs and Poetry of Holocaust Resistance Fighters Frances 'Fruma' Gulkowich Berger and Murray 'Motke' Berger.
