Jewish Studies at Cornell

Cornell's Jewish Studies Program is broadly based and interdisciplinary, bringing together faculty from various Cornell departments and colleges--from Near Eastern Studies to food science, from German Studies to anthropology. With a strong grounding in the ancient world, we also focus on the dynamics of Jewish diaspora and on modern cultural encounters. We seek to understand Jewish culture both in its own terms, and in its rich and fraught legacy of interaction with others. Our course offerings are enriched by a lively menu of scholarly and artistic public events. Those events will be posted here.
